Be The Biggest Source of Food in the Water Column

Yes, sometimes bigger is BETTER...

Being the biggest fly in the brook trout box also means being the most present. Constantly there. Why not make an attemp to stand out with the biggest fly. Brookies are not known to be shy and in the right conditions, will inhale a fly as big as themselves.

BIG BROOK TROUT FLIES

Micro Articulated Esox Toothpick Bass/Trout Fly

Not just for warmwater fish but works great on trout too! Provides a large profile and realistic action. Articulated version is designed to cut down on short strikes, which Brook Trout are well versed in.. Makes a great lake fly, as it is lightweight and easy to cast. Many prefer to fish it with a sink tip. In Spring, use it to cast directly downstream, up and along the bank. Retrieve straight back with short pauses, and wait for the strike.

Heavy Metal Marabou Minnow

Great high water searching pattern in natural colors. The heavy weighted fish skull helps increase productivity in high water. Mallard flank provides a realistic scale pattern. Marabou helps increase movement so it can be swung or stopped.

Fortune-Aire Streamer Fly - Articulated

The Personal Favorite. Shad. You can't beat white for brook trout. Its big, bold, and gets their attention. That's why it always has a space in my box. This fly is a bit smaller than our other big flies, meaning it has a wider variety of applications. It's not over sized for the smaller streams and plenty big enough to contend with big, blown out waters. Especially when armed with the right sink tip or integrated sinking line. Fish this one with confidence as you search for that next heart throbber.
